I'm guessing that Im the only member of thiis site that ordered/purchased a 70' Z28 new !!!!!!!!!!!!
I was still in the Army stationed at Ft Lewis, WA but living in Bellevue,WA with my wife......

My first Shadow Gray Straight bumper 70 Z28 was quite unusual in that I ordered a Turbo 400 (because my wife was helping to
make the payments and didnt drive stick.....I dont think she ever drove the Z@* anyway).

I didnt care for the "Horseshoe" shifter and was trying to save $$$ so my T-400 was ON THE COLUMN !!!!!!!

People that have never experienced the T400 that in the Z28 with its 6 Bolt Torque Converter, Different Valve
body have no idea how fast and fun the car was

I started modifying the car almost immediately removing the smog and adding long tube headers.....later I would
recurve the distributor, rework the carb, add a Hurst Line Lok.........Eventually the Z28 ran 12.9's which was pretty
quick for a street car in 1970.

I sold this Z28 around 1972 (??) as I wanted to have a full time dedicated DRAG car...............

My next and current 1970 Shadow Gray RS Z28 I bought in 1978...........

I bought mine when it was 18 months old...and still have it.
